Amazon confirms Prime Day is July 12 in Canada

Amazon has confirmed that this year’s Prime Day will take place July 12 through July 13 at 3:00 a.m. ET for Prime members in Canada.

The company says the first Prime Day deals begin June 21 and include discounts on products from Casper, Beats, iRobot, SharkNinja, Amazon Essentials, Levis, Adidas, Sony, Bose and more.

Last year’s Prime Day was canceled amid the still lingering COVID-19 pandemic.

At the time, the retailer said the annual deals festival had been canceled so the retailer could focus “on the health and safety” of its employees. Before canceling Prime Day outright, Amazon delayed the event to May.

The e-commerce giant was heavily criticized at the height of the pandemic due to several COVID-19-related outbreaks at its Canadian distribution warehouses.

Amazon says it will also host Prime Day in the USA, Austria, Australia, Belgium, Brazil, China, France, Germany, Italy, Japan, Luxembourg, Mexico, Netherlands, Portugal, Singapore, Spain, United Kingdom, Poland and Sweden.

An Amazon Prime subscription costs $9.99 per month or $99 per year.
