— Hemanth Munipallia longtime Chief Financial Officer of Expedia Group, joined Remitly as Chief Financial Officer effective July 18.
Munipalli joined Expedia in 2016 and served as chief financial officer of Egencia before becoming senior vice president and chief financial officer of the travel giant’s Marketplace Services arm. He was previously chief financial officer of General Motors China.
Remitly, a Seattle-based digital money transfer software provider, announced last month that CFO Suzanne Morgan resigned after four years with the company. Morgan, who helped take Remitly public last year, will serve as lead adviser until September.
— Kunal Chopra joined Beckett Collectibles as CEO. Seattle-based Chopra was previously CEO of Kaspien, a Spokane, Washington-based e-commerce platform formerly known as Etaliz. He has also spent time at Microsoft, Amazon, Unikrn and Groupon in leadership roles.
“We are building the ultimate platform for physical and digital collectors – a place where collectors can manage their entire alternative investment portfolio which includes not only a new brand, empathetic collector experiences, software and analysis products, but also technology-based scoring, authentication. and vault services,” Chopra wrote on LinkedIn.
— Aduro, a Seattle-area healthcare technology startup, promoted two executives: Justin Jed as chief operating officer, and Cliff Drane as experience director. Both joined Aduro last March after working together at Limeade, where they each held vice president positions.
