Qualcomm has scheduled this year’s Snapdragon Tech Summit for November instead of the usual December. The event is expected to showcase successors to chips such as the Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 and Snapdragon 8cx Gen 3.

Qualcomm will hold the summit as early as November this year. As part of the conference, there will be a preview of the processor cores developed specifically during the Nuvia acquisition that will be the first to be used in a laptop arm processor.
However, the successor to the Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 for smartphones still has to rely on slightly modified Arm Cortex cores. The sampling of processors with Nuvia cores is planned for this summer, but the first devices with them should not hit the market until 2023.
