Vivo is launching a new budget phone in Nepal – the Vivo Y55 4G. The phone comes with a Snapdragon 680 chipset, 50MP camera, and more. In this article, we are looking at the specifications, features, availability and expected price of the Vivo Y55 5G in Nepal.
Introducing the Vivo Y55
Design and display
On the front, the Vivo Y55 has a 6.44-inch display AMOLED screen with Full HD+ resolution. It refreshes at a standard 60Hz but its touch sampling rate can go up to 180Hz. Additionally, it has a teardrop notch at the top for a selfie camera.
The device has a large rectangular island on the back panel that houses rear-facing cameras and an LED flash. Likewise, its thickness is 8.4 mm and it weighs 182 g. There are three color options to choose from from Midnight Galaxy, Starry Sky, and Ice Dawn.
Camera
Talking about the cameras, the device flaunts a triple camera setup on the back. The setup consists of a 50MP primary camera with an f/1.8 aperture and PDAF. It is accompanied by a pair of 2MP macro and depth cameras. Up front, you’re treated to a 16-megapixel selfie camera with an f/2.0 aperture.
Likewise, it comes with different modes like Night, Portrait, Live Photo, 50MP, Slow Motion, Time Lapse, Pro, and Document. It can record up to 1080p at 30fps from the rear and front camera, with the rear camera featuring Electronic Image Stabilization (EIS).
Performance
Vivo Y44 is powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 680 4G chipset. This processor has an eight-core processor that can reach up to 2.4 GHz. It is combined with up to 8 GB of RAM and 128 GB of storage. It has a dedicated MicroSD card slot to expand storage. On the software side, the phone comes with Android 12 ready to use with FuntouchOS 12 on top.
Other Features
The phone is backed by a 5000mAh battery that supports 44W fast charging. According to the company, its 44W charger can charge the phone from 0-50% in 28 minutes. Likewise, it has an optical fingerprint scanner under the screen, a 3.5mm headphone jack and a single speaker.
